The Broadway Melody is an American musical film from 1929 directed by Harry Beaumont . It was the first sound film to the Oscar for Best Picture win.

Story  Edit

Hank and Queenie Mahoney go to Broadway . Their friend Eddie Kearns needed them there for a performance. Eddie had a crush on Hank, but when he meets Queenie, he immediately falls for her. However, it has a relationship with Jock Warriner.
