Sarah Jessica Parker (Nelsonville (Ohio), 25 March 1965) is an American televisionand filmactress best known for her starring role as Carrie Bradshaw in Sex and the City series that played on the American channel HBO from 1998 to 2004.

Parker was the fourth of eight children. Already from childhood she followed singing and dancing lessons. In 1976 the family moved to New Jersey, shortly after Sarah Jessica had gotten a role in her first Broadwaymusical, The Innocents. She attended Dwight Morrow High School in Englewood, New Jersey while they are still put down some roles in theatre productions until 1982. In that year she got her first tv role offered at CBS in the sitcom Square Pegs. After she graduated from high school she decided was fully on her acting career to collapse. They appeared in movies like Footloose and Honeymoon in Vegas, but really acquired great international fame in 1998 as Carrie Bradshaw in the sitcom Sex and the City .


Parker currently resides in New York City with her husband Matthew Broderick, whom she married on 19 May 1997. They already had relationships with, among others,John f. Kennedy Jr.Robert Downey Jr. and singer Joshua Kadison. Parker gave birth to a son on the end of October 2002. In June 2009 gave birth to a surrogate mother of their twin.
