Patricia T. Arquette (Chicago, april 8, 1968) is an American television and film actress. In 2005, she won an Emmy Award for her role in Medium and was for the same role in both 2006, 2007 and 2008 nominated for a Golden Globe.
Arquette comes from a family of actors. Her father is actor Lewis Arquette and her grandfather was comedian Cliff Arquette, in the United States best known for the character Charlie Weaver from the comic quiz Hollywood Squares. Also her older sister Rosanna and her three brothers, Alexisand David Arquette Richmond are actors.Mother Mardi is not an actress.
In 1987 , she played her first film role in the movie Pretty Smart. Her first leading role came later that year in A Nightmare On Elm Street 3. In the 1990s she released her career off the ground. For her role as a deaf epileptic girl in the television movie Wildflower from 1991 she received a CableACE award. In 1993 , she appeared in films such as Ethan Frome and True Romance, and the following year, as the second wife of Ed Wood in the eponymous film by Tim Burton. In 1995 she got frequent the attention for her role in Beyond Rangoon and by her marriage to movie star Nicolas Cage.
Later films include Flirting with Disaster with Ben Stiller, Lost Highway , the western David Lynch's The Hi-Lo Country and Stigmata. She was also seen in the video clip of the song "Like a Rolling Stone" by the Rolling Stones. In Bringing Out the Dead from Martin Scorsese 's 1999 plays them next to her then-husband Nicolas Cage. After some heavier roles, she played in 2000 in the comedy Little Nicky the girl where the lanky son of the devil, played by Adam Sandler, keeping an eye on it. The following year she played in Human Nature, the film debut of music video Director Michel Gondry, to a script by Charlie Kaufman. She portrayed a woman whose body is covered with fur.
In 2005, she switched to the television. In the NBCseries Medium , she plays the role of a medium Allison DuBois, who used her gifts to solve crimes. For her role, she received an Emmy Award for best actress in 2005.
She was married to Nicolas Cage 1995 of 8 april to 18 may 2001. In August 2002 she with actor Thomas Janefiance. The couple married on 25 June 2006 in the Palazzo Contarini to Venice, Italy. They have a daughter, Harlow Olivia Calliope, born on 20 February 2003. Patricia has a son, Enzo, born in 1989 from her relationship with musician Paul Rossi.
Her mother died In 1997 to breast cancer. Since then asks Patricia attention in several ways for the disease. She has participated in the Race for the Cure, an annual charity walk for the benefit of a Foundation against breast cancer, and in 1999 was spokesperson for the Lee National Denim Day.
