Parenthood is a weekly American drama series about a widespread family, broadcast by NBC. The series is based on the 1989 film of the same name .


The series follows the Braverman family. Father Zeek (Craig t. Nelson) and mother Camille (Bonnie Bedelia) have four adult children: Adam (Peter Krause), Sarah (Lauren Graham), Crosby (Dax Shepard) and Julia (Erika Christensen). They all have a family. The series is about their experiences and problems with the raising of their children.All families have their own problems, while they also can learn from each other. Adam and his wife Kristina (Monica Potter) have a son with Asperger's syndrome, Max (Max Burkholder), and a teenage daughter, Joseph (Sarah Ramos). Sarah tries as a single mother her two teenagers Amber (Mae Whitman) and Drew (Miles Heizer) to educate. Crosby has to learn to be independent when he finds out that he is the father of five-year-old Jabbar (Tyree Brown). The youngest of the Braverman family, Julia, is a successful lawyer who is trying along with her husband Joel (Sam Jaeger) the lives of her family on the right track.

Broadcast Information[Edit]Edit

Season 1 consists of 13 episodes and was originally from March to May 2010 as a whole broadcast in America by NBC. Season 2, consisting of 22 episodes, aired from september 2010 to april 2011. The third season, with 18 episodes, was broadcast from september 2011 to February 2012. The fourth season consisted of 15 episodes and was aired from september 2011 to January 2013. On 26 april 2013 NBC made known that Parenthood Gets a fifth season consisting of 22 episodes. [1In Netherlands was the first season of Parenthood aired on RTL 8, starting from 30 August 2012. In Flanders was the first season aired on VTM.
