Masculin, féminin is a French drama film from 1966 under the direction of Jean-Luc Godard. The film is based on two short stories by the French author Guy de Maupassant.


Paul has only his military service ended. He is looking for a job and protested against the war in Viet Nam. He starts a relationship with the superficial pop singer Madeleine. Eventually he finds work at a desk survey. Madeleine is building her career, but he becomes ever more isolated from society.
