Marcia Anne Cross (Marlborough, Massachusetts25 March 1962) is an American actress who is best known for her role as Dr. Kimberley Shaw Mancini in Melrose Place and as Bree in the television series Desperate Housewives.

She is a graduate of the famed Juilliard School for acting in New York and she is also a Master in Psychology.

After her studies she began her career on the boards. So she was, among other things, in The Two Gentlemen of Verona and William Shakespeare's Twelfth Night . She got her first television role in the daytime soap opera The Edge of Night. She then moved to Los Angeles, where she got a role in another soap: One Life to Live.

They only became famous a few years later, thanks to her rendition of (the hugely popular) Dr. Kimberley Shaw in Melrose Place. Originally she was only hired for a guest role of 1 episode, but thanks to a strong performance, she was soon reclaimed for that role. They, however, continued to guest star to her third season: when she became a full member of the cast (she was the second most popular cast member, after Heather Locklears Amanda).

After her role in Melrose Place she still a number of other smaller roles, such as in Boy Meets World, Ally McBealSpin City, Cheers and Seinfeld (as girlfriend of Jerry Seinfeld, who referred to her as "Dr. Sitarides: Pimple Popper M.D.").

In 2004 born perfectionist she requires perfection landed the role of Bree Van De Kamp on Desperate Housewives. As a result, her career has really taken off: she is often requested and often become an acclaimed actress in the meantime. Since 2005 she is (for her role as Bree) been nominated every year for one or other price or price.

Private Life[Edit]Edit

Long did rumours that Marcia lesbian would be. This denied them with clamp, but she does have a lot of sympathy for the LGBT community.

On June 24, 2006 , she married Tom Mahoney, a stockbroker. Soon she became (via artificial insemination) pregnant with twins, and therefore had to leave Desperate Housewives for a while. On 20 February 2007 , she gave birth to two daughters, Eden and Savannah.
