Little Mix (formerly known as Rhythmix) is a British girl group consisting of Perrie Louise Edwards, Jesy Louise Nelson, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade AmeliaThirlwall.

The Group was formed during the eighth series of The_X_Factor_(United Kingdom), where she was the first girl group ever won The X Factor . During The X Factor was their single released, a version of Damien Rices "Cannonball". They were accompanied during The X Factor by N-Dubz Tulisa Cananimember. The first single "Wings" came out in August 2012, and their first album in the autumn of 2012 DNA came from.

2011: The X Factor[Edit]Edit

Perrie Edwards, Jesy Nelson, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall did in 2011 all four as soloist audition for The X Factor. However, they went at the Bootcamp Challenge. The jury members decided their still give a chance in the category of groups. They were then put into two groups separately. Perrie Edwards and Jesy Nelson were put in the group Faux Pas with two others, and Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall were put in the Orion group with another. However, neither of these groups also went through to the Judges ' houses. Later it was decided that two members from all the groups were recalled and two there one group of was made: Rhythmix. This group was allowed to pass through to the Judges ' houses. They also went by there and so they came right in the live shows. They were accompanied by their mentor Tulisa Canani. [1]

On 26 October 2011, it was announced that Rhythmix would change its name. A spokesman for the The X Factor said: "at the request of the charity" Rhythmix ",[2][3, the members of the girl group Rhythmix decided to change their name, a decision that was supported by Syco and talkbackTHAMES." On 28 October 2011, the band announced that their new name would be Little Mix . Little Mix was on 20 november 2011 the first group in the eight year history of The X Factor which further then entered the 7th live show. [4The Cornway Sisters and Hope were both to the 7th liveshow saved, but then flew out. On december 11, 2011 during the finale sang Little Mix their winning song "Cannonball" (a cover of Damien Rice) which was released as a download . In the final, it was announced that Little Mix was the winner of the 8th edition of The X Factor and that made them the first girl group ever who won The X Factor . On 14 december 2011 released their single "Cannonball" on cd. But their cover or "Cannonball" was the least sold X Factor single since 2004 and the least sought after Christmas present from 2011.

2012-present[Edit]Edit

Little Mix ' first studio album was released in the autumn of 2012. Gary Barlow and Biff Stannard of the album. On 25 January appeared the girl group at the National Television Awards and sang there the song "Don't Let Go (Love)" by En Vogue. The girls also accompanied the jurors Gary Barlow and Tulisa Constostavlos at receiving the award for Best Talent Show. The song "Wings" was released as the first single in August 2012 and was number 1 in the UK Singles Chart.

Perrie Louise Edwards, born on 10 July 1993, comes from South Shields, Tyne and Wear. For her first audition she sang the song "You Oughta Know" by Alanis Morissette.

Leigh-Anne Pinnock[Edit]Edit

Leigh-Anne Pinnock, born on 4 October 1992, comes from High WycombeBuckinghamshire. Before they came in Little Mix, she worked in the Pizza Hut. For her first audition she sang the song "Only Girl (In the World)" by Rihanna. She has a oldschoolhiphop-style and takes the songs of the rapgedeelten in Little Mix for her account.

Jade Thirlwall[Edit]Edit

Jade Amelia Thirlwall, born on 26 december 1992, comes from South ShieldsTyne and Wear. She is friends with The X Factorwinner Joe McElderry, who is also from South Shields comes. Jade has previously auditioned for The X Factorseries 5 in 2008 and series 7 in 2010, but when she came every time no further than the Bootcamp. For her audition in 2011 she sang "I Wanna Hold Your Hand" by The Beatles.
