King Ralph is a 1991 American comedy film directed by David s. Ward with John Goodman in the title role and further including Peter O'Toole and John Hurt.

The film is loosely based on Emlyn Williams' 1980 novel headlong .


By a freak accident while taking a family picture, the entire British Royal family to life. It is not immediately clear who and where the rightful heir to the throne, but research indicates that this one Ralph Jones is, a little successful singer/pianist who works in a casino in Las Vegas .

Hofmedewerker Sir Cedric Willingham (Peter O'Toole) tries the new King to teach good manners and such, but this is by trial and error. Meanwhile, hires Lord Graves (John Hurt) Miranda (Camille Coduri) to Ralph in a scandal to complicate, after which he can claim the throne himself.
