The story[Edit]Edit

Will Schuester (Matthew Morrison) doesn't dream at the start of the new school year to the ' Glee ' club again to restore to its former glory: as the old vocal coach fired is because of pawing, he may take over the leadership of the Executive Board. He was years ago Member of the club and in his time was this a huge success at school and beyond. He loves auditions and it appears that there are some very good singers at his school are: so we are introduced to the main character  Rachel Berry (Lea Michele), an unpopular girl who dreams of a career in the spotlight and big fan of musicals. In addition to Rachel finds Will some other choir members: there is Mercedes Jones (Amber Riley), a African American girl with a powerful voice; the gay Kurt Hummel (Chris Colfer), which by the guys from the football team bullied and teased every day; Artie Abrams (Kevin McHale) sits in a wheelchair after a car accident and is half paralyzed and Tina Cohen-Chang (Jenna Ushkowitz), a shy Asian girl with a penchant for Gothic. Each of them is a freak at the school and must compete with the prejudices of many of their fellow students.

Because the club is missing a few good male singers, trying to persuade other students Will get involved, but there are days not much bidding on, partly due to the pressure of fellow students that the Glee club but find nothing. When he discovered that football star Finn Hudson (Cory Monteith) can sing, he devises a ruse to get him also at the choir. Through blackmail Finn accepts the offer to sing in Glee club. After a while his team mate Noah Puckerman (Mark Salling), commonly known as Puck, at the choir. Puck is the rebel of the school and has a not-too-best reputation. When Puck joined the chorus adds, he takes another 2 team mates with it: Mike Chang (Harry Shum, Jr.) and Matt Rutherford.

All this is very much against the meaning of cheerleader coach Sue Sylvester (Jane Lynch), who must watch with sadness the club recruits some of her money and her cheerleaders. It devises a plan: top-cheerleader Quinn Fabray (Dianna Agron) and her two girlfriends Santana Lopez (Naya Rivera) and Brittany Pierce (Heather Morris) must infiltrate at the club and try to destroy from within the club. Quinn sees that now be, because she has (rightly) given that Rachel is in love with Finn and him of her trying to deal with it. So she can (next to the choir to destroy) also keep an eye on her boyfriend, but her plans falling into the water when she turns out to be pregnant by Puck.

Gradually evolves the choir and we follow them on their way to big dream: the national corn contest Win (despite the many obstacles they encounter on their way).

Other figures are academic advisor Emma Pillsbury (Jayma Mays), who secretly has a crush on Will; Ken Tanaka (Patrick Gallagher), the football coach of the school that do what feels for Emma and last Wills wife Terri (Jessalyn Gilsig), which is rather materialistic and selfish is set.

Ian Brennan , Glee based on his own experiences as a member of the choir of the Prospect High School in Mount Prospect (Illinois). He wrote the series first as film scenario in 2005. He tried the scenario in Hollywood to wear out, but did not in. Mike Novick, a producer and friend of Brennan, went to the same fitness as that of Ryan Murphy and gave him a copy of Brennans scenario. Murphy himself was a member of a school choir and saw something in. Murphy and his colleague Brad FalchukNip/Tuck-ran Brennan for the series into a television series, who consented. The scenario was completely rewritten and was picked up by FOX, only 15 hours after they had received the scenario of Murphy. With their threes they write now all episodes, Murphy chooses the music pieces from. Falchuk and Murphy are the Executive producers of the program and lead the recordings, Brennan is co-producer.

Glee is set in Lima, Ohio. Murphy chose the Middle West of the United States, because he himself grew up in Indiana, and remembered trips to an amusement park in Lima. The show itself is included in theParamount Studios in Hollywood. Murphy also claims never to have looked to High School Musical , and says the show to have been designed as a "post-modern musical" and not a program in which people suddenly burst out in song. He wanted to create another program, one without murders, scifi or lawyers, as a form of escapism. It also had to be a family program, in which both young and old can find.

The production of an episode costs at least US $ 3 million, and the production process can take up to 10 days due to the extensive choreography. [6]
