After the 10 finalists were chosen, two were disqualified. Hazel Kaneswaren because she was too old to participate and Nicola Ward because it refused to sign the contract because of the amount that the Group did earn her was too low. Their places were filled out by Nicola Roberts and Kimberley Walsh, both of which came in the group by the public, Nicola as second and Kimberley as the fourth. The other three were: Cheryl Cole (became 1st in "Popstars-The Rivals"), Nadine Coyle and Sarah Harding (3rd) (5th).

While One True Voice only two singles made and then disbanded, continued Girls Aloud over ten years together, and successful in Great Britain. Unlike some winners of talent shows Girls Aloud a few months has been waiting with the successor of their debut single, until May 2003.
