Eva Jacqueline Longoria (Corpus Christi (Texas)15 March 1975) is an American actress. In 2006 she was nominated for a Golden Globe for her role as Gabrielle Solis in the television series Desperate Housewives .

Longoria acquired fame for the first time on television in the soap opera The Young and The Restless. In the 2000s, she was well known in the United States after they appeared in various advertising campaigns, after she was number 14 in the FHM "Sexiest Women 2008" poll, and after they came on the cover of various international women's magazines such as VogueMarie Claire and Harper's Bazaar. [1]

Longoria was born as a daughter of the Tejano's. [2[3she was raised Catholic. [4Longoria is the youngest in a family with four daughters and grew up together with her sisters on the ranch by her parents. [5]

Longoria originally wanted to be a model and sent photos to a modeling agency but was rejected because of its length. Longoria went to Marvin p. Baker Middle School and later Roy Miller High School her the Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the nearby Texas A & M University-Kingsville. In this period she won in 1998 the title of Miss Corpus Christi, USA. After she had completed her studies did Longoria took part in a talent contest that her to Los Angeles in California brought. Shortly after, she signed a contract with a casting agent. [5]

Longoria played one time in Beverly Hills, 90210 and General Hospital and in 2001 she got the role of a former call girl in "burning love". [source? ]In The Young and The Restless played Longoria for the first time a character that occurred in more episodes. She made her film debut in Snitch'd, which in 2003 direct to dvd came out. A year later, she appeared for the first time on the silver screen in Carlita's Secret .

Longoria plays Gabrielle since 2004 as one of the main characters in the television series Desperate Housewives.

In 2008 opened Longoria a restaurant in West Hollywood called Beso, which means "Kiss" in Spanish. [6along with her business partner Todd English opened a second Beso steakhouse in Las Vegas in december 2009. [7The Hollywood Beso should be the focus of a pilot episode for the celebritysoap called Beso: Waiting on Fame on VH1 in late 2010 in America. [8In april 2010, Longoria launched her first perfume "Eva by Eva Longoria".

Longoria from 2001 to 2005, was married to actor Tyler Christopher. They married on 6 July 2007 with basketball player Tony Parker of the San Antonio Spurs, born in Bruges. They added his last name to hers and was called in full Eva Longoria Parker. Longoria met Tony Parker in november 2004. In August 2005 she confirmed their relationship, and on 30 november 2006 fiance the couple itself. [11They married in a Paris Town Hall, followed by a Roman Catholic service in the Saint-Germain l'Auxerroiskerk in Paris. [12on november 16, 2010, Longoria to divorce papers in Los Angeles , however, on the basis of "irreconcilable differences". [13In the divorce papers asked Longoria, who had taken over Parkers family name, in order to use her maiden name again. On January 31, 2011, it was announced that the divorce was final, when on that day the divorce papers were signed. [14]
