She wanted to study rights after her high school. However, her music teacher arranged an audition with Andy McCluskey, who wanted to set up a group. In 1997,McClarnon became one of the original members and co-writer of Atomic Kitten.
McClarnon was engaged to her school friend Tommy Hibbs Hall until 2001. After the band disbanded in 2004, she did modeling in 2005 , she supported a promotional campaign to get kids to eat healthier and worked on a solo album.
McClarnon released her first solo single, a cover of Barbra Streisand's "Woman In Love", from early 2006 . The video clip shows McClarnon in an apartment in Manhattan, but is in reality filmed in Liverpool. It was A double A-side released with Jackie Wilson's "I Get the Sweetest Feeling". The single won the fifth place in the British Top 40 and no. 2 in Wales. Also did Liz in August-november 2006 participated in the television show Bump & Grind -a talent contest for dancers-as a jury member. Winner Jade, will be on display in her next music video.
A next single was performed during the Denby Dale Festival on August 13, 2006. In July 2006 by Liz in Moscow announced that its next single will be called ' Happy '.McClarnons solo album was scheduled for 2007, but is not yet published.
Liz McClarnon is also focused on ' haute cuisine ' cooking and was in 2008 by BBC Masterchef program named "Celebrity Masterchef Champion". They will publish a cookbook has announced.
Since 2010 she presents for the BBC Hotter Than My Daughter the show in which mothers and daughters go in the metamorphosis.
From July 2011 to October 2011, they meegetourt in the Musical "Legally Blonde" in which she took the role of Paulette. After the tour was known to the end of 2011 and early 2012 will still do some of these shows.
