Danielle Jane "Dannii" Minogue (Melbourne20 October 1971) is an Australian singer, actress, model, singer and songwriter. She is perhaps best known for the fact that she is the younger sister of Kylie Minogue , also singer and actress. In 2005 sold four million copies worldwide, especially in Minogue Australia.

She has always overshadowed by the success of her sister. However, Minogue with hits like All I Wanna Do (1997), Put the Needle On It (2002), I Begin To Wonder(2003), You Won't Forget About Me (2004) and Perfection (2005) built up a reputation as a singer.

In 1989 and 1990 she played the role of Emma Jackson in the Australian soap opera Home and Away .

Minogue began her career at the Australian television. She has acted in the series Skyways and The Sullivans and later was to see them every week in the sing-and dance program Young Talent Time (1981-1988). After they had left Young Talent Time , she played in the series and All The Way 'Home and Away and she started her own clothing line.

In 1989 she worked on her first album (Dannii) with Mushroom Records, which was released in 1990. In 1993, she released her second album Get Into You, out. In 1994 she presented the UK programme The Big Breakfast .

The following year Minogue worked together with the Japanese dance music groups EuroGroove. They released the singles "Rescue Me" and Boogie Woogie , and both songs were number 1 in Japan. In the same year she worked on her third album with Mushroom Records, among other things with Love To Infinity, but the album was never released.

In 1996 and 1997 she continued with present and she played in the musical Grease: The Arena Spectacular. In september 1997 she released a new album with a new record company, Girl. A year later she went on tour.

In 1999 and 2001, Minogue in two other musicals, Macbeth and Notre Dame de Paris. At the end of 2001, she released a song with dance music groups RivaWho Do You Love now?, and she signed a contract with London Records.

At the end of 2002, she released another new song from, Put The Needle On It and in 2003 her fourth album, Neon Nights, of which two more songs were released.

In 2004 she signed a record deal with All Around The World and later that year she released a song from, You Won't Forget About Me. In 2005, she collaborated with the Soul Seekerz Perfectionto the number. In June 2006, she released a new song, and a Greatest Hits album, The Hits & Beyond, that contained five new songs.

In 2007 she was to see as a jury member in the Australian program Australia's got Talent. Later that year she was also jury member and mentor at the British X Factor. At the end of 2007 she released two of her albums (Girl and Neon Nights) again, and also the compilation albums, Unleashed and Club Disco .

In 2008 she ran "The Great Walk To Beijing" with Olivia Newton-John. Also she came back on the Australian television for the second season of Australia's Got Talent and later that year was to see them again at The X Factor.

In early 2009, she released a digital compilation album with songs from her first two albums and she was again on display at Australia's Got Talent. Currently they jureert at the British programme The X Factor.


Minogue is momentary been married (1994-1995) with actor Julian McMahon. With her ex-partner Kris Smith has a son.
