Cocoa powder is derived from the cacao bean, the fruit of the cocoa tree.

To make cocoa powder uses the cocoa mass of the cocoa bean. The mass is pressed under high pressure, so that cocoa powder and butter emerged. The powder is available in many different colors and flavors. That flavor and color is determined by the quality of the cocoa bean and the temperature of the roasting, but also by the acidity of the bean.

Cocoa powder is used to make chocolate and chocolate milk out of it. Furthermore it is also widely used as finishing on hot and cold drinks or desserts with chocolate. In white chocolatedoes not contain cocoa powder.
