Catherine Zeta-JonesCBE[1(Swansea (West Glamorgan), 25 september 1969) is a Welsh actress. Zeta-Jones began acting at a young age. In 2003 she won aAcademy Award for best supporting actress for her performance as Velma Kelly in Chicago. In addition, she has more than ten other film awards to her name, including aBAFTA Award (for Chicago) and a European Film Award (for Entrapment).

Zeta-Jones is now married to the American actor Michael Douglas, who to this day exactly 25 years older than she. A few months before the wedding she got her first child, a son, in april 2003, followed by a daughter. Nevertheless, they live separated since August 2013. [2]

She has announced that she is afflicted with a bipolar disorder[3]
