Anne Elizabeth Alice Louise (Clarence House, London, 15 August 1950) is the only daughter of the British Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip. Princess Anne carries the title Princess Royal, a title given to the eldest daughter of a British monarch may be granted. Anne is currently (2013) eleventh in line to the British Throne.
Princess Anne first gave private lesson at Buckingham Palace and then went to a boarding school in Kent. As rider , she has participated in the 1976 Summer Olympics.Since 1988 she is a member of the International Olympic Committee. Since 1994 she is Lady of the Garter (LG) in the order of the Garter.
Princess Anne married on 14 november 1973 with Mark Phil Lambert.
The couple has two children:
Princess Anne remarried on 12 december 1992 with Timothy Laurence. They had to marry in a Scottish Church, because the English church forbids divorced people to remarry in their churches. They have no children together.
Anne's eldest son, Peter Phillips, and his Canadian wife Autumn got their first child on december 29, 2010, Savannah. This daughter is the first grandchild of Princess Anne and the first great-grandchild of Queen Elizabeth.
