Mary Abigail ("Abby") Wambach (Rochester, New York, 2 June 1980) is an American football star. She plays currently at WNY IT Flash in the new American women's League, the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL), created after the cessation of the professional women's League in the United States (WPS: women's Professional Soccer). Wambach also played for the American women's national football team and she is currently the American football star who has scored the most for those American team, they scored 160 times in 207 matches.
She is married to Sarah Huffman.

- Wambach was born in Rochester, New York, but grew up in the suburb of Pittsford. She was the youngest of seven children.
- In the school football, she was transferred from the girls team to the boys team because they are as many as twenty-seven goals in three games.
- Wambach was taught to the Our Lady of Mercy High School in Rochester. There she played not only football but also basketball.
- Wambach ended the WPS-season with eight goals, more than anyone else.
